However, at the same time online dating has its own flaws. It is certainly difficult to determine the reliability of the information an individual may have put up on his profile. Even though it is quick and easy, meeting an online friend in person may not always be a safe option. It is also possible that you may be completely disappointed when
you meet your online friend in person. Asif who works for an advertising agency in Delhi says, "I believe people who are shy resort to such measures. It is a virtual world and it gives you the liberty to unleash your pent up shyness". "It can be extremely dangerous. People generally don’t disclose their identities. At times people have sinister motives", he adds.
