Scoring:
Less than 0: Diss. Everything — right down to her chapped lips — is saying “do not touch.” Run, don’t walk. Celeste Simmons, dating expert and co-author of You Know She’s a Princess When, offers a way out. Be direct, as in, “You are a great person, but we don’t have much in common.”

0-5: Why would you want to kiss someone so self-absorbed? Leave her, and her lips, behind. “Tell us you are not interested, but do so with class,” says Brenda Della Casa, author of Cinderella Was A Liar. “A simple, ‘I had a nice time but I respect you too much to lead you on. I don’t think we’re a good match’ will work. It may hurt her, but not as much as thinking you care about her only to finally be straight up months later.”

6-10: She’s cranky, not kissable. Freeze her out. “Minimize or completely mute your responses,” counsels dating coach Liz Kelly, author of SMART Man Hunting. “Avoid responding to emails or text messages unless there is a specific question that can be answered in a few words. If these subtle avoidances do not work, you need to be more direct and say that while you like her, you just don’t see a love connection.”

11-15: Peck. She might be worth kissing, but it’s too early to know for sure. “Keep it casual and invite her on group activities, rather than one-on-one,” says Victorya Michaels Rogers, author of Finding a Man Worth Keeping and the upcoming The Automatic Second Date. “Make sure you use the words ‘Will you join us,’ rather than ‘Will you join me,’ to keep it platonic. And don’t kiss her until you decide you want to pursue her, or you’ll just lead her on.”

16-20: Kiss her! She’s definitely smooch-worthy.
